How to cancel a NBN Storefront

This is a step by step on how to cancel a NBN account.

Log into the CID and click Analysis, then click Online Access Statistics

When you get into Online Access Statistics, click the Ranking Report tab

Review their rankings for Nearby Now.

To do that, first update the ranking report to be for the past year.

Next look at the number under Ranking and note that somewhere.

Then take the URL for one of the city pages.

Paste the URL into the Filter by Match section.

Look back at the Ranking number and see if that number is one of the following:

  • Over 25 Percent comes from the city pages: Reply to their cancellation request confirming they wish to cancel. Outline the risks. For companies canceling due to lack of use, offer retraining.
  • Under 25 Percent comes from city pages Proceed to Step 2

Sign into Nearby Now and go to the customers account. When you are in the customers account, click Account Settings on the left hand side and click Profile.

Once in, scroll down until you see Billing and look for the start date.

Create a ticket in zoho for billing@online-access.com. In the email, request Nearby Now cancellation on the day you receive the cancellation form. Include the CID ####, company name, customers full name and address.

If the date of cancellation is in the future, put in a calendar reminder to cancel the account on the business day nearest the day of the month listed in the Start Date. For Example, in the example above, you would have to cancel the account on or before the 17th.

First, determine if the customer has custom city pages, or the generic Nearby Now city pages. To determine if they have custom city pages or not, check and see if they are using the global NBN content block or if they are using custom ones. Once that is determined, follow the below instructions.

Client HAS Custom Pages

Copy the content from the content block onto a new page for the city.

Change the friendly URL's from the NBN city pages to the new pages you made for each city.

Make a task to Graphics to update the list of cities to not be pulled from the NBN tag and instead the (#companyallcitiesserviced layout="columns" limit="4") tag.

Once graphics completes the task, disable the folder the NBN city pages are in and disable everything in the folder.

Client DOES NOT HAVE Custom Pages

Log into the CID and look where the Cities We Service section is on their homepage. If it's done by hand and not by tag, remove the anchor tags for every city in that section.

If the cities we service section is done by NBN tag instead, assign a task to graphics to replace the NBN tag with the (#companyallcitiesserviced layout="columns" limit="4") tag.

Once graphics completes the task, disable the folder the NBN city pages are in and disable everything in the folder.

First access the Docs Drive.

Next, find the Products folder.

When in the folder, click on the Nearby Now folder.

When in that folder, open the Nearby Now Map APIs Excel sheet.

Find the Company and Project it's with and delete the cells and move the ones below it, up.

Next, click the link for the API it was associated with and go to Google API.

When in Google API, double check you are in the right NBN API Project in the top left hand corner.

If you are in the wrong project, click the button and type in the correct Project Name "NBN #"

Once you are in the correct project, in the search bar at the top, search Credentials and click to open the API key.

When the link is opened, click API Key 1

Click the checkbox next to the domain you would like to delete, then click the Delete button that appears above. Once you have deleted the domain, you can click the Save button.

Sign into Nearby Now and go to the customers account. When you are in the customers account, click Account Settings on the left hand side and click Profile.

Once in, scroll down until you see Billing. Click the gears icon in the top right hand corner and then click Cancel Account.

Enter the admin email account (nearby@online-access.com) and hit save.

Find the CID for the company and at the top before signing in, click the "Company Products" button.

Inside the company products, scroll down to Nearby Now and turn off either the generic NBN product or the GAL NBN one if the customer is a GA Larson customer.
